Black Friday in July, what? Amazon is looking to build some buzz around the slow retail months by creating a holiday around their 20th anniversary. What’s the catch? The deals will be exclusive to prime members. They’re trying to go big and claiming bigger deals than what they shipped for Black Friday. Now this isn’t the first time we’ve seen retailers do this but it’s the first time that we can recall where it seems to be working, at least among other retailers. Prepare yourself this week because we have Walmart, Best buy and Toy’s R Us looking to steal some of Amazon’s thunder.
